About Mukta Gupta
I was born in small town in India, at the border of a northwestern desert state of Rajasthan. At an early age, the vibrant colors and sweet melodies of nature and nomadic gypsies, called Banjaras, influencing my inner as well as outer world. My Banjara existence yearned for stability, at least in my inner being as I found it nonexistent in the outer world for obvious reasons of inherent uncertainty, being the very nature of our physical material world. My art was born out of the need to create symmetry out of asymmetry, harmony out of disharmony and order out of chaos in the explosively violent world where life itself has become an industrial commodity to satisfy the lust of the consumer, capitalistic world overpowered by the greed,...

Love this colorful beauty, Mukta! It reminds me of the song my grandma used to sing to me. "I'm a Little Teapot, short and stout, here is my handle, her is my spout! When I get all steamed up, I just shout, Tip me over, and pour me out"! Love the piece of artwork and the colors are awesome! Thanks for the memories, my friend! f/v
Mukta Gupta replied:
Haha... Randy, I remember this too, but instead of my grandmother, a little girl I used to live with (my roommate's daughter) used to sing it... she was not less than my grandmother as she always treated me like her sibling even when she was few years old!;)
