Manana Island is a small islet located off the eastern windward shore of the island of Oahu, between Makapuu Point and Waimanalo. Manana Island is approximately 3/4 mile off of Kaupo Beach, just northwest of Makapuu Point on the island of Oahu. The islet is also known as Rabbit Island. Some people think it is because the island is shaped like a rabbit's head or body, but it is actually becaue rabbits were raised on the island until 1994. The rabbits were removed at that time because started destroying the native ecosystem of the island, which is an important seabird breeding area. Manana Island is a 63 acre volcanic tuff cone island. It is about 2300 feet long and 4200 feet wide. rises to about 360 feet at its highest point. There is a small beach on the southwest side of the island that is approximately thirty feet wide.

I was born in small town in India, at the border of a northwestern desert state of Rajasthan. At an early age, the vibrant colors and sweet melodies of nature and nomadic gypsies, called Banjaras, influencing my inner as well as outer world.
