Artist's Description
This oil painting was done on a 24 x 36" stretched canvas. This is a very intuitive piece and more like a children story that came into my mind. Here kula is the dog and Pani is a cat's ghost belonging to a child and the ghost follows around the happy dog who is happy to jump and get the plumeria flowers from the Plumeria tree to make children happy. About Mukta Gupta
I was born in small town in India, at the border of a northwestern desert state of Rajasthan. At an early age, the vibrant colors and sweet melodies of nature and nomadic gypsies, called Banjaras, influencing my inner as well as outer world. My Banjara existence yearned for stability, at least in my inner being as I found it nonexistent in the outer world for obvious reasons of inherent uncertainty, being the very nature of our physical material world. PS---Mukta--I read your story---and it is precious. Maybe you already have children's books---if not---it might be a consideration.
Mukta Gupta replied:
I have thought about it several times, started on it but don't know what stops me, I guess I don't really have real know how and confidence to do it... but hopefully it will happen one of these days!
