Artist's Description
This drawing was done by using conte pencils (3) on a large piece of drawing paper to capture the reflections seen in piece of glass and stainless steel bottle and it surprised me as well to see how much one can show with just three color pencils. It was really hard for me to work with the conte' pencil in the beginning like every new medium, but once I got hold of it, I loved it for what I could do with it.
First I could not find a deeper meaning to this piece because it is just a still life... However, it suddenly dawned on me on reflection that of course, reflection in itself is deep, it has two meanings now for the time being unless I stumble upon more ... so I am happy!

About Mukta Gupta
I was born in small town in India, at the border of a northwestern desert state of Rajasthan. My art was born out of the need to create symmetry out of asymmetry, harmony out of disharmony and order out of chaos in the explosively violent world where life itself has become an industrial commodity to satisfy the lust of the consumer, capitalistic world overpowered by the greed,...
