using one object (the mountains in the back) to emphasize the sizes of the boats, people and other island off to the right.

Mukta Gupta replied:

Thank you Heather for explanation of your meaning for scale, I just wanted to make sure I was understanding what you wrote!

Mukta Gupta replied:

However, there is a problem with the pictures taken by the digital cameras because they do distort the perspective and make an image look flatter rather than 3-D thats is why when we paint from a live object vs when we paint from a photograph, a work of art comes out different.

Artist's Description

This picture was taken in Kaneohe, Hawaii, showing kaneohe bay with lulani ocean. Its a small bay where boats are parked by locals and when the water is still, the reflections are beautiful and water has a glassy appearance. You can also see Ko'olau Mountain Range and mokulele/turtle island, chinaman's hat/ mokoli'i in the distance. Sunset on these mountains are amazing, the light makes them light them in the golden light.

Note: Please REDUCE the image to fit the 5x7 CARDS, so that the image is NOT cropped to keep the integrity of the original image.
No Fine Art America WATERMARK shall appear on any finished prints. They are strictly for security on this site.

About Mukta Gupta

Mukta Gupta

I was born in small town in India, at the border of a northwestern desert state of Rajasthan. At an early age, the vibrant colors and sweet melodies of nature and nomadic gypsies, called Banjaras, influencing my inner as well as outer world. My Banjara existence yearned for stability, at least in my inner being as I found it nonexistent in the outer world for obvious reasons of inherent uncertainty, being the very nature of our physical material world. My art was born out of the need to create symmetry out of asymmetry, harmony out of disharmony and order out of chaos in the explosively violent world where life itself has become an industrial commodity to satisfy the lust of the consumer, capitalistic world overpowered by the greed,...
